You live in Croatia, but how well do you know it next to home? Try guessing before you read each answer. Five quick questions, Nepal against Croatia.

1. Which country is bigger? Nepal, by far. Nepal covers about 147,000 km², Croatia about 56,600 km². Nepal is roughly 2.6 times larger.

2. Which has more people? Nepal has about 31 million people; Croatia has nearly 3.9 million. That is eight times more people in Nepal, so a Croatian town can feel very quiet compared with Kathmandu.

3. How high is the highest point? Mount Everest is about 8,849 m. Croatia's highest peak, Dinara (Sinjal), is 1,831 m. Everest is nearly five times higher.

4. Which has a sea? Croatia. Nepal has no coast at all. Croatia has more than a thousand islands and islets, and 48 of them have people living on them all year.

5. Which has more neighbours? Croatia borders Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and has a sea border with Italy. Nepal is squeezed between just two giants, China (Tibet) and India.
